Birthday post (Finally.)
Nolan turned five on November 22. We had a party at our house with some family and friends. He got boatload of presents. His favotites were a new bat from mom & dad and all his new books. We had pizza (Didn’t run out this time!! – I bought more than they said to this time!!) and cake.
We had a pinata for him and it pretty much went the same as the one I described on Hawaii. Each kid smacked the crap out of the thing about 6 times before it finally broke. Candy then poured out and Deb knocked over five little kids to get to the chocolate. I think one of them needed stiches. Deb should be ashamed!
Nolan did have some trouble blowing out the candles on his cake and ended up with three girlfriends.
We did find a Kindergarten and primary school for Nolan (and Jonah too). It is called Stride Academy. It is a publicly funded charter school in St. Cloud. They limit the classes to 20 kids per class and only two classes per grade. Each kid is taught subjects at their level and there is quite a lot of individualized structure. There is a lottery to get in and a waiting list for those who don’t make the first cut. It is a year round school with five weeks off in the summer and two weeks off after every ten weeks. It seems like the perfect fit for our kids. Anyway, you’ll all hear more about it this summer.
Off to Duluth tonight with Chris Leavey to watch the UMD Bulldogs play the hated North Dakota Fighting Sioux.

Somehow I just can’t picture Deb knocking over 5 kids to get to the chocolate. looked like a fun party!

Cris is using me as a scapegoat for his transgressions with the kids and candy…note he didn’t post the video! Evidence that he’s the big kid on the playground!

I totally believe you, Deb. Now if I were there, I can see me plowing down the kids to get to the chocolate. hahaha!
